Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup thick Poha (Flattened Rice)
  • 1/4 cup Peanuts
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium Potato, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Green Peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1-2 Green Chillies, slit (ya taste ke according)
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves, chopped (garnish ke liye)

Method / Preparation

Follow step-by-step instructions
  1. Poha ko ek strainer mein daalkar 1-2 minute ke liye running water mein gently wash karein. Phir paani nikalne ke liye side mein rakh dein. Poha soft aur fluffy ho jaayega.
  2. Ek kadhai mein tel garam karein. Mustard seeds daalein aur jab woh crackle karne lagein, toh peanuts daalkar light brown hone tak fry karein. Phir nikaal kar side mein rakh dein.
  3. Usi tel mein curry leaves, green chillies aur chopped onion daalein. Onion ko translucent hone tak bhunein.
  4. Ab chopped potato aur green peas add karein. Salt aur turmeric powder daalein. Sabziyon ko soft hone tak cover karke cook karein (approx 5-7 minutes).
  5. Jab sabziyan pak jaayen, toh soaked poha add karein aur gently mix karein. Dhyaan rahe ki poha tootne na paaye.
  6. 2-3 minute tak halki flame par cook karein, beech-beech mein stir karte rahein.
  7. Gas band karein, lemon juice aur fried peanuts daalkar mix karein.
  8. Fresh coriander leaves se garnish karke serve karein.
